Federal law. Most psychedelics remain Schedule I under the federal Controlled Substances Act. Wavelength does not facilitate, encourage, or assist illegal activity. It does not provide, supply, administer, or arrange access to any controlled substance, and nothing on this site or at its events is an offer, invitation, or encouragement to obtain, use, or distribute one.
1. Acceptance
These Terms govern your use of onthewavelength.org and any related Wavelength site, page, or member area (the “Site”), operated by Wavelength (“we,” “us”). By using the Site you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Site.
2. The Site is educational — it is not advice
2.1 Everything on the Site is general educational information about law and policy. It is not legal advice, medical advice, psychological advice, or clinical guidance, and it is not a substitute for any of those.
2.2 Using the Site, emailing us, submitting a membership application, attending an event, or joining our mailing list does not create an attorney–client relationship with Wavelength, with any presenter, or with any attorney associated with Wavelength, and does not create any clinician–patient relationship.
2.3 Do not send us confidential information about your own legal matter through this Site or by email. Information you send before an attorney–client relationship is established in a signed engagement letter may not be treated as confidential and may not prevent that attorney or their firm from representing another party. If you want legal advice, retain a lawyer.
2.4 Law in this field changes quickly. Content is current only as of the date stated on it, and we have no obligation to update it.
3. Membership and the member area
3.1 Membership in Wavelength is a professional affiliation. It is not a license, certification, credential, accreditation, or endorsement of any member’s practice, competence, or compliance with law, and no member may describe it as one.
3.2 Wavelength accepts, declines, suspends, and terminates membership at its discretion.
3.3 You are responsible for the security of your access credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at deja@onthewavelength.org if you believe your access has been compromised. Do not share your access with anyone else.
3.4 Member materials are provided for your own professional use. You may not republish, redistribute, or post them publicly, and you may not use any member directory to send unsolicited commercial email or to build a marketing list.
3.5 Inclusion of a member in any Wavelength referral directory is not a recommendation. Wavelength does not verify licensure, insurance, training, or fitness to practice, and takes no responsibility for any interaction between members or between a member and any third party. Do your own diligence.
4. Events
Registration for an event is subject to the Wavelength Code of Conduct and to execution of the Waiver, Release and Assumption of Risk. Events operate under the Chatham House rule: you may use and share what you learn, but you may not identify the speaker or any other attendee as the source of a statement, or reveal their affiliation, without permission. Wavelength may change or cancel an event at any time.
5. Partners and sponsors
5.1 Wavelength recognizes partners and sponsors who support its programs. Sponsors support, but do not direct, Wavelength’s program. Program content and speaker selection are editorial and are not offered as a sponsor benefit.
5.2 Recognition of a partner or sponsor is an acknowledgment of support. It is not an endorsement of that organization, its products, or its services by Wavelength, by its directors, or by any presenter.
5.3 Wavelength does not sell, rent, or lease its attendee, member, or mailing list, and does not provide sponsors with attendee contact information.
6. Intellectual property
The Wavelength name and marks, the Site, and all content on it are owned by Wavelength or its licensor and are protected by law. You may view and print content for your own non-commercial professional use. You may not copy, republish, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from it, or use the Wavelength name or marks, without our advance written permission.
7. Your submissions
If you submit content to us — an application, a comment, working-group material — you grant Wavelength a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use it in connection with its programs. You represent that you have the right to submit it and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights or disclose anyone’s confidential information.
8. Prohibited uses
You may not use the Site to break any law; to solicit, offer, source, or arrange any controlled substance; to harvest email addresses or personal information; to send unsolicited commercial email; to impersonate anyone; to interfere with the Site’s operation or security; or to gain unauthorized access to any account or system.
9. Third-party links
The Site links to third-party sites and resources. We do not control them, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or availability. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, Wavelength and its directors, officers, volunteers, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Site. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Site shall not exceed one hundred dollars ($100).
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful injury, fraud, or violation of law, which cannot be limited under California law.
12. Indemnity
You will indemnify and hold harmless Wavelength and its directors, officers, volunteers, and agents from any claim, loss, or expense, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.
13. Changes; governing law; contact
We may change these Terms at any time by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance. These Terms are governed by California law, and you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in the state and federal courts located in San Diego County, California.
