Most psychedelics remain Schedule I under the federal Controlled Substances Act. Wavelength does not facilitate or encourage illegal activity. We do not provide, supply, administer, or arrange access to any controlled substance, and nothing on this site or at our convenings is an offer, invitation, or encouragement to obtain, use, or distribute one.
Wavelength is an educational organization. What happens here is analysis of the law as it actually is — not advice, and not a route around it.
About Us
Wavelength was founded in 2026 to give the region’s psychedelic community something it had never had: a room they could all be in at once.
San Diego County sits at an unusual intersection. It is home to roughly 109,000 active-duty service members — more than any other county in the nation — and to more than 180,000 veterans, the population driving federal psychedelic policy. Tijuana’s ibogaine and plant-medicine clinics are minutes from the border. The Center for Psychedelic Research at University of California San Diego anchors a serious research ecosystem. And the County has a deep bench of therapists, physicians, and somatic practitioners already working in and around this medicine.
Every one of those assets is also a fault line. What was missing was coordination: shared standards, a vetted referral path, a clear read on what the law actually permits, and a single voice when policy is written. That is what Wavelength is building.
We map the law as it is — federal, state, and local — before anyone argues about what it should be.

Who Convenes It
A California attorney whose practice focuses on psychedelic law, organization formation and governance, and religious-use organizations. She counsels facilitators, clinic founders, and practitioners, and is a member of the Psychedelic Bar Association.

Meetings & Events
Wavelength convenes monthly. Sessions pair a substantive briefing with working-group time. Members are notified first; remaining seats open to the wider list.

A ninety-minute working session mapping three access pathways — medical, religious, and decriminalization — across federal, California, and San Diego law, with spotlights on ketamine and the cross-border ibogaine interface. Followed by the formation of seven working groups.
Convenings are 18+ and run on the Chatham House rule. Attendance is by RSVP; seating is limited.

Seven groups came out of the inaugural convening. Each has a lead, a ninety-day goal, and its own meeting rhythm. Members may join one or more.

This part matters more than the tiers. A collaborative that sells its program to its funders is worth nothing to the people who come to it. So the limits are published here, next to the recognition, rather than buried somewhere.
